Obedience

 

Basic Manners 

For any age pup through adult.

Prerequisite - none   Runs for 4 weeks

Course covers: waiting at the door, waiting till released for meals, loose leash walking, go to place, learning theory, games and coming when called.

Basic Obedience  

For pups over 12 weeks through senior dogs (they are never too old to learn!)  

Prerequisite - none   Runs for 6 weeks

Course covers: loose leash heeling, learning theory, games,  automatic sit, sit for exam, pace changes, directional changes, recalls / coming when called, sit stay, down stay with distractions. We also cover not biting, not jumping and any other home problems you may have.

Basic Obedience2

Prerequisite - dog needs to be fluent in exercises from basic obedience   Runs for 5 weeks
Course covers: everything from the basic course, finishes, stand for examine, fine tuning exercises, attention games and the start of off leash heeling.

 

Beyond Novice - Competition Obedience

Prerequisite - dog needs to be fluent in exercises in Novice Obedience exercises    Runs for 5 weeks

Course covers: novice exercises and nuts and bolts for Open and Utility exercises.

Scent Detection

Intro to Scent Detection

Prerequisite - none    Runs for 5 weeks

Course covers: introduction to Birch, blind hides, food distractions, foundations and more!

​

Level 2 Scent Detection

Prerequisite - able to pass on Birch   Runs for 5 weeks.

Course covers: introduction to anise and clove, multiple hides, interior hides.

​

Level 3 Scent Detection

Prerequisite - able to do Novice to Advanced level Containers and Interiors   Runs for 5 weeks

Course covers: Introduction to Myrrh, Vetiver and Cypress, Exteriors and Vehicles.

​

Master/Elite Scentwork

Prerequisite - able to show at Master/elite levels   Runs for 5 weeks.

Course covers skills, handling, clearing rooms and working advanced scentwork puzzels.

Agility

 

Agility Skills and Drills

Prerequisite - only non aggressive dogs with a solid recall (comes when called under distraction) and preferably a sit or down stay   Runs for 5 weeks

Course will cover some of the following: jumps, tunnel, tire jump, table, contact criteria, wraps and crosses, handling, contact equipment (A-frame and dog walk), weave poles, sequencing and advanced handling skills.

Trick Dog Training

 

Trick Training

Prerequisite - only non aggressive dogs     Runs 4 weeks.

Course will cover different fun tricks. Have fun with your dog while learning to have a better relationship. Entertain family and friends.

Shed Hunt

 

SHED Training

Prerequisite - a retrieve and solid recall off leash   Runs 4 Weeks.

Course covers how to train dog find shed antlers!

​

Conformation Class

​

Prerequisite - a dog that can be handled to show their bite and be examined as in the breed ring    Runs as a drop in.

Includes down & backs, gaiting, exam, stacking and lining up.

​
